Bremont’s Supermarine Full Ceramic: A Jungle-Tested Powerhouse Built for Exploration

Bremont Supermarine Full Ceramic

Bremont has always had a knack for creating watches that are as tough as they are stylish, and the new Supermarine Full Ceramic is no exception. In partnership with adventurer and Bremont Ambassador Aldo Kane, the watch recently faced its ultimate test: the unforgiving jungles that hold some of Earth’s most intense biodiversity. Aldo, who’s well-versed in navigating hostile environments, took the Supermarine Full Ceramic on several crucial research missions this year, pushing the timepiece through all manner of jungle challenges.

I was fortunate enough to get hands-on with the BREMONT Supermarine 300M in Green recently and thought it was an awesome and supremely underrated diver. So, when this piece was announced, I was instantly excited. I digress.

The jungle is a place where only the fittest survive. It’s an unpredictable environment, thick with dense foliage and relentless humidity—a perfect testing ground for Bremont’s latest creation. As Aldo describes, “The jungle crushes egos, builds resilience, and hones a deep connection to the natural world.” Having tackled jungle terrain since his days as a 19-year-old Royal Marines Commando, he’s had nearly three decades of experience working in these environments. Tracking poachers in Southeast Asia or climbing into the African canopy, Aldo knows that if a watch can handle the jungle, it can handle anything.

A New Level of Durability and Precision

Bremont’s Supermarine collection has always focused on building tough, reliable watches that work as well above water as below. Now, with the introduction of ceramic as the primary case material, Bremont is taking durability to new heights. Ceramic isn’t just strong—it’s one of the hardest materials known, making it resistant to both scratches and wear. The Full Ceramic edition brings a sophisticated look with a jungle green finish that’s achieved through an intricate, high-temperature sintering process. Shaping and refining the ceramic requires precision at every step to avoid losing the color, as even the smallest miscalculation in temperature can change the pigmentation.

To craft this piece, ceramic powder is first shaped into a mold slightly larger than the intended final product. Through a unique high-pressure sintering process, the watch case is compacted at temperatures over 1,450°C, shrinking by about 23% and revealing its final shade and finish. This process ensures that the jungle green color is perfect, robust, and highly resistant to fading.

Afterward, Bremont applies a sand-blasting treatment to give the Supermarine its signature matte finish. The brand’s attention to detail doesn’t stop at aesthetics—the knurled titanium PVD bezel on the limited-edition Jungle Green version adds a bit of texture and even shifts hues from green to blue, offering a unique touch that mirrors the dynamic environments it’s designed to explore.

BREMONT Supermarine Ceramic - Designed for Adventurers

Bremont didn’t hold back on the details with this new model. The Supermarine Full Ceramic boasts a high-visibility dial, complete with applied indexes and hands coated in Blue Emission Super-LumiNova® for enhanced readability in low-light conditions. And if a quick glance at the time in the pitch-dark depths of a rainforest is necessary, this watch has you covered. The green gradient dial features trapezoid markers that extend from the bezel to the dial, adding a bold, cohesive aesthetic.

It’s not only functional but also undeniably stylish, making it suitable for both adventure settings and more formal environments. The black gold-plated hands add a touch of elegance, further elevating the look. Beyond aesthetics, this timepiece includes Bremont’s moniker, "The Wayfinder," reinforcing the brand’s commitment to exploration and resilience. The date window at 3 o'clock is an added practical feature, seamlessly blending into the dial’s layout.

Tailored Straps for a Perfect Fit

No Bremont watch would be complete without a carefully crafted strap, and the Supermarine Full Ceramic doesn’t disappoint. You can opt for a woven NATO-style strap, meticulously created on French Jacquard looms that date back to the 18th century. Yarn-dyed to ensure long-lasting color, this strap is as tough as the watch it supports, and it’s finished with a sturdy steel buckle and a Velcro fastening for secure wear. For those who prefer a sleeker look, Bremont also offers a black rubber chevron strap, quick-release enabled, adding flexibility for any occasion.

The case back features an engraved map of the world’s oceans, emphasizing Bremont’s dedication to creating timepieces built for global adventure. Every detail of the Supermarine Full Ceramic is meticulously designed to meet the needs of those who push boundaries.

Technical Mastery

Under the hood, the Supermarine Full Ceramic houses the modified Calibre 11 ½’’’ BE-92AV (SW300-1A), equipped with 25 jewels, a Glucydur balance wheel, and a 50-hour power reserve. With a frequency of 28,800bph (4Hz), this movement is as reliable as it is robust. It’s not just about aesthetics and ruggedness; this watch packs a serious horological punch.

The case measures 43mm in diameter, with a depth of 13mm and a lug width of 22mm, making it a bold yet comfortable fit on the wrist. Bremont has designed this timepiece to withstand depths of up to 500 meters, thanks to its helium escapement valve and a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal. It’s a true diver’s watch, ready for any underwater challenge and ideal for anyone who craves extreme adventures on land or at sea.

Celebrating Exploration

Davide Cerrato, CEO of Bremont, says it best: “At Bremont, our tool watches are worn by those that push themselves to the most extreme environments on earth. The Supermarine Full Ceramic is a testament to our passion for perfection.” Bremont’s commitment to creating highly technical dive watches that merge form and function is evident in every detail of this new release.
