The latest iteration of the historic Navygraf model, equipped with the advanced Manufacture micro-rotor caliber CMM.20, introduces a sleeker design. YEMA's French Manufacture Caliber is a precision-engineered movement designed in Switzerland and meticulously developed in France by their expert watchmakers. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the bridges and mainplates are manufactured in YEMA's workshops in Morteau. This caliber boasts an ultra-thin profile, measuring just 3.70mm in thickness, thanks to its smart architecture, making it ideal for sleek and refined watch cases. Offering exceptional accuracy, it maintains a performance range of -3 / +7 seconds, approaching near chronometer-certified levels. The movement features an impressive 70-hour power reserve, achieved through innovative technologies such as a tungsten micro-rotor and a large barrel.
Known as the CMM.20 Calibre Manufacture Morteau 20, it combines self-winding functionality with robust shock resistance and magnetic resilience. With 33 jewels and operating at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 A/h), this ultra-thin caliber comprises 190 components and is regulated by a Glucydur balance wheel. Its impeccable craftsmanship is further enhanced by ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) decoration, ensuring both precision and beauty in every aspect.
The YEMA Navygraf Slim features a completely redesigned 30 BAR steel case. The dial proudly bears all mentions in French, including the "MANUFACTURE FRANÇAISE" signature at 6 o’clock, reflecting YEMA's commitment to local manufacturing. Crafted with meticulous attention, the black lacquered dial exudes elegance, complementing the dazzling black shine of the sapphire bezel. The 39mm stainless steel case, with brushed finishes contrasting polished chamfers, has been slimmed down to 9.5mm to accommodate the CMM.20 micro-rotor caliber while maintaining 30 BAR water resistance.
Faceted steel hands and applied markers, treated with Grade A Super-LumiNova, grace the dial, enhancing readability and aesthetics. The sapphire bezel, featuring unidirectional rotation and luminescent markers, adds both elegance and functionality, essential for professional diving. Limited to 200 pieces, each Navygraf Slim boasts a unique serial number engraved on the sapphire exhibition case-back, offering a glimpse into the inner workings of the rare CMM.20 caliber.
The shock-resistant and scratch-resistant double-dome sapphire crystal enhances vintage appeal while increasing water resistance. Completing the ensemble, a vintage-grained black calfskin leather strap, tapered for comfort and refinement, adds a touch of elegance to this neo-vintage timepiece.
Preorders for this Limited Edition of 200 timepieces will be available on May 7th via yema.com, with shipping scheduled for August 2024. The YEMA Navygraf Slim has a retail price of $1990.
