VERO Watch Company - Journey Ahead

Founded in 2015 in Portland, Oregon, VERO Watch Company aims to defy the notion that high-quality watches must be expensive and dull. Embracing the philosophy that watches should be worn and not stored, VERO creates timepieces inspired by grit, commitment, and style. As passionate watch collectors themselves, the founders ensure each VERO watch tells a unique story, championing the modern American field watch. Their mission is to inspire life's journeys with rugged, distinctive watches that adorn wrists worldwide.

VERO has a track record of combining its passion for quality matchmaking with its mission to give back to efforts that support great causes. In August of 2023, VERO teamed up with the US Forest Service with the release of their Smokey Bear watches that aimed to keep the message of forest fire prevention alive. Similarly, their Forest Service Edition watches were also a conduit to donation as 10% of all proceeds are donated to the USDA Forest Service. These acts of giving enable the protection of wildlife and the service groups that keep them enjoyable to all.

The VERO Open Water 38 Watch has been expertly refined to a sleek 38mm diameter, with a lug-to-lug measurement of 46.5mm, and a slim profile of 10.75mm in thickness. The case is crafted from matte bead-blasted 316L stainless steel, ensuring durability and a sophisticated finish. This watch offers 200m/660ft water resistance, making it a reliable companion for underwater adventures. A newly designed uni-directional 12-hour travel bezel boasts a Cerakote finish, offering exceptional durability and endless possibilities for future color variations.

The bezel, indices, and hands are coated with Swiss Super LumiNova, providing excellent visibility in low-light conditions. The watch also features a flat sapphire crystal with an underside anti-reflective coating and a screw-down crown with crown guards for added protection. The current release features two distinct variations called 'Cove' and 'Swell'. The two varieties are pictured below with the 'Swell' being the more vibrant of the two. The 'Cove' features a lighter, milkier finish and remains more subdued than its counterpart Both look beautifully finished and original.

Each dial in the first production run of the VERO Open Water 38 Watch is crafted with the same Cerakote finish as the bezel, ensuring a flawless color match. The redesigned bracelet emphasizes user convenience, featuring single-sided screw links, quick-release spring bars, and “female” end-link integration with the case. Additionally, it includes a NodeX-equipped, on-the-fly adjustable clasp. The bracelet elegantly tapers from 18mm at the lugs to 16mm at the clasp and is standard on all VERO Open Water 38 Watch models. For those seeking variety, vintage-style tropic straps from VERO's partners at Strap Habit will be available separately for purchase.

This movement operates at 28,800 VPH, is finely tuned to +/- 5 seconds per day in six positions, and boasts a 38-hour power reserve. The movement is Swiss-made and US-assembled, ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship.
